My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this:Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,Because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. James 1:19-20
It was a rainy morning. I had finished praying, read ‘Treasury of Courage and Confidence’ by Norman Vincent Peale, worshipped and eaten my brunch.
It was soon time for going to the office. I noticed a damaged umbrella which angered me. Though umbrella was useable during the rain, i broke it and threw it away.
I began to walk in the drizzling rain. Took a public van and walked in the drizzling rain to the place of conference regarding the blood donation. The snacks was served.
I had a further walk to do until my office. The nearer I came to office the rain was getting more heavy. Until i reached office I was walking in the heavy rain. All this while I grew more angry.
What struck me was that the regret I had to make for getting angry towards umbrella and throwing it away though it could be utilized to protect from getting wet from the rain.
I learnt two great lessons:
1: Man’s anger does not produce the righteousness of GOD.
2: The only cure for anger is delay.
